Welcome to Uniform: Stories of Service Podcast!
Uniform: Stories of Service is built on a simple idea: if you wore the uniform, your story matters. Not just the big battles and headline moments, but the late-night guard shifts, the training cycles, the friendships, the moves, the families, and the quiet decisions that shaped your life long after you took the uniform off. This podcast is where individual veterans sit down, one by one, to talk about what service really felt like from the inside—before, during, and after.
In each episode, you will hear a real conversation with a veteran from any branch, any job, any era. Some guests deployed to combat zones. Others served stateside, in support roles, or during so-called “quiet” years. All of them bring something real: why they joined, what surprised them, what they miss, what still weighs on them, and how service continues to echo through their careers, families, and sense of purpose. There is no requirement to be a hero, to have a chest full of medals, or to have “the perfect story.” If you raised your right hand, you belong here.
Uniform: Stories of Service is developed by Trackpads.com as part of the Dispatch: U.S. Military History Magazine ecosystem, and it exists to preserve voices that might otherwise never be recorded. If you are a veteran, you are invited to add your voice. If you are a family member, student, or lifelong learner, you are invited to listen in, learn, and share. Subscribe to the podcast, and when you are ready, visit Trackpads.com or connect on LinkedIn to step up to the mic yourself. Your service was not one-dimensional. Your story should not be either.
